"Two Maroon Women" is loosely based on a 1967 photo by thomas nebbia.. The Maroon people are native Africans who escaped the slave trade to Jamaica. As you can see, their faces tell a story of a difficult life. Each line on the face perhaps carries the strengths, fears, and triumphs of their ancestors.
